Importing your inventory
Last updated: April 2025
Techfleet Sync can import inventory from several sources. The import wizard handles column mapping automatically using AI — you don't need to reformat your spreadsheet.
Supported import sources
- CSV file upload (any format — AI detects columns)
- Google Sheets (live link — stays in sync)
- Shopify store (products + variants)
- Manual entry (add devices one at a time)
Importing from CSV
- Go to Inventory → Import → CSV
- Upload your file
- Review the AI-detected column mapping — adjust if needed
- Click Import — devices appear in your inventory instantly
Importing from Google Sheets
- Go to Inventory → Import → Google Sheets
- Share your sheet with the Techfleet service account email shown on screen
- Paste your sheet URL and click Connect
- Configure sync frequency (manual, hourly, or live)
For Google Sheets imports, Techfleet Sync syncs changes automatically. Update a price in your sheet — it reflects in your buyer links and channels within seconds.
What happens to IMEI data?
If your import includes IMEI numbers, Techfleet Sync automatically creates serialized unit records. Each unit is tracked individually with grade, battery health, storage, color, and status (available, sold, reserved).
You are responsible for ensuring any IMEI data you import is for devices you legally own. Techfleet Sync does not check IMEIs against stolen device registries.
